After many years travelling World-Wide we felt there was a necessity for reasonably priced, good quality storage systems in vehicles and in particular the Land Rover. We originally saw the need for a safe and secure way of keeping recovery gear/4x4 accessories easily accessible when off-roading and came up with the idea of a drawer system. It was originally aimed at 'green-laners' and club trials type vehicles.
When the first Store Drawer ™ was introduced in 1999 to the open market, we soon found there was a definite need for the security aspect of our units more than the market we were originally aiming for.
We launched the Store Drawer at the Billing Show in the summer of 1999.
We then went on to develop another storage unit that would complement the Store Drawer, this was known as the Store Chest. It was designed so that when both units were installed together they would give a flat floor area in the rear of an 88/90/110 CSW/110 Double Cab. To gain the flat floor area in the 110 Hardtop two Store Chests would be required.
With the need for security/storage also in the Discovery we adapted the Store Drawer by adding two side lockers that have lifting lids.
The next product to follow was the Store Caddy. We knew of many cubby boxes on the market, but wanted to follow along the same vein as the other units we produce and provide a very high quality cubby box with many extras. Most of these were implemented following extensive customer research at 4x4 shows in 2001 for which we are eternally grateful as we believe we now have a class-leading product. Current sales prove that our customers knew what they wanted.
